SOUTH AFRICA EMBASSY – ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA
The South African Embassy in Addis Ababa, is one of the most important of South Africa’s foreign missions with Addis Ababa being the seat of the African Union.
The 5000m² complex includes the main chancery building, a recreation centre and VIP guest accommodation.
The design is inspired by the rich natural and cultural heritages of both Ethiopia and South Africa.
Ethiopian rock churches of Lalibela, the rift valley and cradle of humankind that stretches from South Africa in the South to Ethiopia in the North East, form the basis of the design.
