The design of this 6 bedroom family home was achieved through the use of two large minimalist volumes connected by an open stair.
By introducing large open glazing panels, the simplicity of the architectural style used is subtly altered to allow maximum exposure to natural light.
The cantilevered volumes, on the southern side of the property, provide shade for the external terraces adjacent to the living areas.
The use of natural materials such as brown slate on the boundary wall and timber slats which was used to create privacy screens, ontrasts well with the façades painted in white. The use of dark timber as a predominant finish externally provides a simplistic connection of the materials used internally.
